Fair Trade Law Q&A - Merger| May enterprises consummate a merger immediately after filing with the Fair Trade Commission? |
Pursuant to Article 11, Paragraphs 7 and 8 of the Fair Trade Act, enterprises may not consummate a merger within 30 working days after the Fair Trade Commission accepts a complete filing submission. Moreover, the Fair Trade Commission may, when it deems necessary, shorten or extend the review period. However, any extension shall not exceed 60 working days.
