INTERNATIONAL AND/OR BILATERAL COOPERATION ARRANGEMENTS
Several free trade agreements that Chile has signed include a chapter on competition policy promoting cooperation between competition agencies. Besides, the FNE has sought international cooperation by signing memoranda of understanding or cooperation agreements with foreign competition agencies. In this context, the FNE has signed agreements with Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil and El Salvador, and is considering initiating negotiations for the adoption of new agreements with several other countries. All of these agreements include provisions about technical assistance, and most of them also have provisions about cooperation and information exchanges for enforcement.
