Decisions of Administrative or Quasi-Judicial Agencies - Concerted Actions-2004

1. Four Penghu County companies, Hua Yong Pre-Mixed Concrete Co., Ltd., Sieh Ying Enterprises Ltd., Hong Cing Enterprises Ltd. and Bing Sen Enterprises Ltd., violates the Fair Trade Law by restricting competition which are sufficiently to adversely affect the trading order in the market for pre-mixed concrete in the Penghu area
2. Holiday Co., Ltd. and Cashbox Partyworld Co., Ltd. violates the Fair Trade Law by consenting to jointly procure karaoke video tapes, which was a concerted action that may affect the specific market functions of demand and supply of licensed karaoke tapes
3. Taiwan Television Enterprise, Ltd., China Television Company, Ltd., Chinese Television System, Ltd. and Formosa Television Company, Ltd. applied to jointly purchase the rights to broadcast the Athens 2004 Olympic Games
4. Enterprises of ready mixed concrete in the southern area of Hualien County violates the Fair Trade Law by jointly determining the sale price of ready mixed concrete
5. Investigation initiated by the Fair Trade Commission into whether Chinese Petroleum Corp. and Formosa petrochemical Corp. violated the Fair Trade Law by jointly determining the prices of petroleum products (The decision has been revoked)
6. Several chain convenience stores jointly raised the price of canned carbonated beverages, in possible violation of the Fair Trade Law
