Administrative Procedures
Hong Kong, China
The public has various channels to lodge complaints on restrictive business practices. For example, consumers can approach the Consumer Council, a statutory body set up to protect consumer interests by mediating between concerned parties. In addition, the public can direct their complaints to the relevant government departments and public agencies which will then look into allegations by referring to the appropriate sector-specific rules and regulations. Cases involving more than one policy area may also be referred to the Competition Policy Advisory Group for consideration.
